So I like the tv show Cake Bos on TLC. I thoroughly enjoy shows of this type where you are you given insider access into the inner working of creative people. I like American Chopper also. that being said, I’m tired of show like Cake Boss and American Chopper (and previous “reality” shows like Viva la Bam) introducing fake drama to bring more interest to the show. The 2 most recent episodes of Cake Boss have made me consider removing it from my list of shows to record. Do they expect people to REALLY believe that Buddy would agree to make a cake for 2 painters in exchange for them painting the bakery WITHOUT PREVIOUSLY AGREEING ON A COLOR SCHEME?!?! WOULD 2 PROFESSIONAL PAINTERS SHOW UP TO A JOB SITE WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT COLOR PAINT TO USE? ARE YOU REALLY TELLING ME THAT THESE 2 SHOWED UP TO THE BAKERY AND LUCKILY HAD ENOUGH PINK PAINT TO GET THE JOB DONE WITHOUT A PREVIOUS AGREEMENT TO USE THAT COLOR?!?! I call bullshit. I understand that sometimes producers take liberties with “reality” for the sake of ratings, but do you REALLY need to add unbelievable plot twists to your show without consideration for your viewers’ intelligence? I’m disappointed. When it was a show that highlighted Buddy’s creativity and abilities, I greatly enjoyed it. Please stop adding phony fake bullshit to your show. You are insulting your viewers.
